Digital Oppdragsrapport 15.06: Community-driven development of water supply systems in rural Tanzania.

Join our digital presentation Thursday 15th of June, at 3-4 pm.

A study of community-driven development of water supply systems in rural Tanzania.
The objective of aid projects is often to offer the recipients an outset to improve their own living conditions. Jehan Kanaganathan and Synne Høyås travelled to Tanzania in relation to their Meaningful Master. Here they studied local communities in the area around Haydom, which were the recipient of water wells as part of one of NCA's humanitarian programs between 2015 to 2021. Today, some of these communities have improved their systems in order to supply more local residents with greater access to water. Their master's thesis examines the different aspects of a local community and a water supply infrastructure that enable and support such development.

You will also meet representatives from the project partner Four Corner Cultural Program (4CCP) and Rebecca Martinsen who was their EWB mentor on the field trip to Tanzania.

Welcome!
