09.12.24. Digital Oppdragsrapport: EWB-N - WWF Handover of Energy Tool
The EWB-N volunteer team has been working on an assignment initiated to assist WWF’s program Africa Energy Transition (AET). The objective of the assignment was to establish a baseline for energy data in the respective program countries, in order to support WWF and its civil society partners in understanding the role of energy data (or lack thereof) when advocating for positive change in the renewable energy policy, regulatory and investment space in the focus countries.
In consultation with the WWF country offices (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar) and PAJCA (Pan African Climate Justice Alliance), the EWB-N volunteers have developed an online Energy Tool. The tool is made to visualize energy pricing in each country for different consumers, development, stakeholders, and bring attention to the gap between current development speed and goals.
