28.11.24: Digital Oppdragsrapport: ELCAP - Mapping Waste Challenges in Tanzania

On Thursday, November 28, from 15:00-16:00, we invite you to a digital report addressing essential groundwork for improved resource utilization of waste in Singida, Tanzania.

You will meet IUG volunteers Ida Andersskog and Marin Prebeg, who recently returned from their assignment in Singida, Tanzania. They will share insights into their work on waste management challenges they addressed as part of the ELCAP project (Enhanced Livelihoods through Commercial Agriculture Production). The primary target group for this project includes around 6,000 smallholder farmers and their families in the Singida region.

As part of this effort, the focus is now on strengthening existing waste management solutions in the area. Improved waste systems are essential to reduce local pollution and increase resource utilization, which in turn creates income opportunities for smallholder farmers in the region.

This assignment is part of the ELCAP project, led by Strømmestiftelsen (Strømme Foundation) in collaboration with NGI (Norwegian Geotechnical Institute), NMBU (Norwegian University of Life Sciences), Returkraft, and Engineers Without Borders Norway.

Strømmestiftelsen and other project partners will also be present at this digital presentation, and time will be allotted for questions afterward.

Welcome!
