Digital oppdragsrapport 09.11.23: Power and manufacturing equipment for plastic recycling in Senegal

Join our digital presentation on Thursday 9th of November at 15-16 (3-4 pm, norwegian time)

At this ‘Digital Oppdragsrapport’ you will meet EWB engineers Maria Bøe and Fredrik Pettersen and hear about the initial phase of the Waste@work project. The project aims to establish a small factory that transforms discarded plastic waste from the area around the Casamance River Delta in Southern Senegal into practical and environmentally friendly products.

The initial phase of the project involved the sizing and specification of solar system components. At the same time, a comprehensive analysis was carried out to identify the ideal range of products to be produced and the necessary production equipment. In order to secure the necessary financial support, an application was submitted to Handelens Miljøfond (Norwegian Retailers’ Environment Fund). The funding was approved, which made it possible to proceed with the project. The last step in this task involved the assembly and commissioning of all elements.

Next to EWB engineers Maria and Fredrik, you meet Hilde Huus-Hansen (Niafrangs Venner), who runs the Waste@work project.

We welcome you to attend this event and learn more about this project and its potential to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future in the Casamance River Delta.

See recording of the webinar here.
